Personal Statement

My name is Matthew Miller. I am about 5 foot 10 inches, I weigh 160 pounds, I run a 4.7 forty, good hands, and I'm a good route runner. I have played football since I was in 3rd grade therefore I am very familiar with the game. I'm quite athletic allowing to play any position on the field at any time. As an upcoming seinor for my program I'm a leader on and off the field, forcing my teammates to work their hardest at all times. I don't mind staying after late to run routes and catch passes from the quaterback, in fact I often push for it. I'm always working to get stronger in the weight room and always trying to improve my speed and stamina so that I may perform at my fullest potenital possible. I have have the desire and the passion to put in all the work that I can into playing college football, it's my greatest dream of all time. There are numerous palces I would love to play football at. I would like to play at App. State because it a great program and its close to home, I would also like to play at Wake Forest, University of South Carolina, Texas, really anywhere that would take me. I understand that that most of the schools that I named above are division one schools and I'm not assuming that I am an DI athlete, those are just places I would like to play. Wake Forest because its close to home and I like the campus, South carolina because of its athletic facilities, and Texas just because thats my favorite college team. However I am more than willing to look at and accept ANY and EVERY school that will accept me into their program. I don't care where I play as long as I get to play. My family is self-employed and though we make good money according to the government we will be in need of some financial aid. Scholarships, grants, whatever I can get will be a benefical part of me going to college. I want to major in criminal justice and psychology. My goals would be to play as early as possible, not necessarily as a freshmen though that would be nice, but as soon as the coaches think I'm ready. I want to play at the highest level of competiton possible, and I wnat to make the biggest impact possible on the team and during the games. I want to be that go to guy in do or die situations. I want to be the best athlete possible for my team, coaches, and family. Not only will I work my ass off but I will strive and depruve myself of everything to be the absolute best that I can be.
