Personal Statement
Currently, I am a Senior at North Iredell High School ( ASEC ) in Olin, North Carolina. I have been have playing softball since I was 7 years old. I started playing with city leagues every year then played softball for my middle school team Northview IB ) which then continued into high school. I made the varsity softball team my Freshman year at North Iredell while also playing travel ball since I was in 7th Grade. My Sophomore year went well with me earning awards such as ALL COUNTY, ALL CONFERENCE, and ALL DISTRICT. Along with the awards I hope to help make my team better and continue to be a better teammate to help develop our program. Last year was challenging as I missed all but the last 2 games of the season coming back from an injury. I came back strong though, stealing bases as going 4 for 6 at the plate and my speed was back to normal stealing bases.. It was challenging but it allowed me to grow and mature and realize the love I have for the game.
A few things separate me from other players. One is my size. I am 5-7 140 lbs but I have grit, I am personally motivated, and I am the fastest runner on my team. Another distinction that sets me apart from others is my perseverance to achieve goals. I will put all the necessary into achieving those goals. I love being apart of a team and I have the discipline and ethics to be a value add to any team. I always strive to motivate and encourage my teammates, both on and off the field. I am the last one to leave the field after every practice, the only way to be the best player I can be.
I am not sure what I want to do in the future as far as career. My immediate goal is to continue to develop in the sports I participate in and continue to make good grades ( I have a weighted 4.47 GPA ), that would offer me the chance to go to college in the field I decide to enter.
