Hello,
My name is Luke Caldwell and I am a current 10th grader. My strengths are that I am an extremely dedicated student athlete. I was a member of the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) during my middle school 8th grade year and attended the regional conference in which I placed 3rd place. I have played football since I was in 6th grade and baseball since the age of 8. Currently I am playing on two different travel baseball teams and I am doing summer football workouts. My drive and dedication for sports is rooted in a goal of one day playing college football. I also believe academics plays a large role in this goal. I am currently enrolled in the Lyceum program at New Hanover High School. This program is dedicated in providing a select students with college level classes during the high school experience. I plan to not only dedicate my time improving on my football skills but also dedicating my time in the classroom. I feel that I am a leader on and off the fields. My parents have taught me that a strong work ethic is important in life. I have learned to work not only hard for myself but also for others. I have participated in two different mission trips to help serve others and their community. My first mission trip was in 6th grade and we went with an organization called REACH and we were involved with the renovations of houses for a needy community. My second mission trip was the rebuilding of handicap structures for small church in North Carolina. I feel that a strong work ethic is important in being successful in sports and academics to achieve my goal to play college football. My twin brother and I have started on the offensive line since we were sophomores .
