Personal Statement
I was raised by my mother to never quit and never let someone tell you you cant do something because you can do whatever you set your mind to. I have always kept that close to me through my life. I come from an athletic background and I have a work ethic that I have found others do not have. I enjoy pushing myself to limits I know I can reach, pushing myself to the point of wanting to give up but I never will let myslef do it, and I want to be pushed and I am very coachable. I want to play college football and continue playing the sport I love and reach my dream.
My name is Mason Butler, I am 6'3, 270 pounds. My primary position I play is the center position on the line. My secondary postion is defensive line, I rotate from nose guard to strong defensive end. I go where ever I am needed at the time.I played Junior Varsity my freshman year, getting to be in the rotation on both sides of the ball. The first film that you see is me in my sophmore year. I started on Varsity at center with 8 other senior football players on our starting offensive line up. Our team made history that year by being the first football team in my schools football histroy to host a home state playoff game. We won our conference by going 10-0 in the regular season. Our final record was 11-1. I was awarded as being a scholor athlete, and I was also a first year letter winner.
This past season I started at center and aslo the defensive line, where ever they needed me at that week. We were 3-7. This past year I was awarded being a scholor athlete, being second year letter winner, I was annointed at being 2nd in my conference, and I was also honored as 1st Team All-Stark County center by WHBC radio station. The second film below is this past year.
