Personal Statement
All my life my parents have told me to do everything I do to the best of my ability, and that never really set in until I started high school. Football had always been my favorite sport, and feeling the atmosphere of a high school game made me realize that I didn't want that feeling to end. My freshman year is when I told myself I was going to play college football, and nothing that anyone else said would convince me otherwise. At this point in my career, I know that there is no other sport like football, and the dedication and hard work it takes applies to success in everyday life.
Although I don't have a lot of high school left, I plan to keep my GPA above a 3.7 and maintain above a 3.0 in college. Being successful in the classroom and on the field have always been priorities to me. In the small town I call home there has always been favoritism from little league up, and I was never one of the favorites. But, I proved a lot of people wrong about who they thought I was, and now they know how talented I am. No matter what the circumstances, I give everything I have, and I'll better myself on my own if necessary because I have in the past. That's why I would be an asset to your program.
