Owen VLK '23 Recruiting Profile

     Hello my name is Owen VLK.  I am in the graduating class of 2023 at Lakeview Local High school where I carry a 3.5 GPA.  I have taken and am currently taking CCP classes.  I also participate in many sports.  I have been playing soccer for 8 plus years.  First for L.O.S.A then for Lakeview Middle and later Lakeview High.  I also play on an indoor soccer club for 3 plus years.  This year is my first year in track and field.  Last year I tried out for the kicking position on the football team  I went straight to the varsity team replacing their current kicker.  I feel that i have a natural raw talent and am eager and excited to play again this coming year.  

       I am also excited for the prospect of finding a college after graduation that not only can I excel at academically and athletically but also a good fit for me.  My current yardages are punting 40 yds.  I can kick it into the endzone on kickoffs but was encouraged not to in high school games.  I feel automatic at 35 yd field goal attempts and 50% at farther attempts my longest field goal to date is a 50 yd kick in practice only  and I am 100% on pat.  I will continue to practice to enhance my strengths and improve on my weaknesses .
