To be a better person than I was the day before and to be a positive role model, leader for my family, friends and community. This has always been something that my mom has taught me. I strive in everything I do to become better than the day before. I have high expectations for myself academically and athletically.
As a football player when I get on the field that is all I think about. The excitement of being on the team. I am a team player. I encourage my teammates and cheer them on. Football it’s not a 1-person game it takes a team working together as one for the win.
I have played football since I was in 7th grade. My passion for the sport started off by a friend inviting me to his house. When I was there his dad offered to throw the football around with us. He shared with me that he saw determination in my eyes and encouraged me to play. The smell of the grass on the field and the excitement of being part of the team is all that it took to lock me in.
In the off season I paly basketball and work out. I do this in order to keep myself active and part of a team. Although I enjoy playing basketball, I consider that a hobby as my first passion is football.
I will be a good candidate for your team. With the characteristic describe above in addition to my faith background and loyalty I know I will do the best of my ability to honor the school. “But they that wait upon the Lord share renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
