Joseph D Batey '12 Recruiting Profile

In my personal opinion, I have three important qualities. First, I'm very hard working and always looking to improve myself. Next, I take pride in academics and try to use my intelligence to my advantage. I have been a two and three sport athlete every year and carried a 3.9 gpa throughout my high school career. I was chosen Student Athlete of the year 2009-2010 and 2010-2011,  and have been All Acedemic TVC for the last three years. Lastly, I'm a strong-willed person. I was raised to do what's right and do what I am told to do. In terms of statistics, I'm 5'11'', around 187 lbs and run a 4.5  forty. I'm obviously working hard to get bigger, stronger and faster. I play running back and receiver and also linebacker and saftey. My true passion is slot receiver. Not only do I love catching the ball, I also like to block to create opprotunities for my teammates. I'm a captain on my team, so I also can handle leadership responsibilities. As for my major, I would like to go into exercise science and eventually become a strength trainer or pursue a career as a physical therapist,. I would like to go to college somewhere in the eastern part of the United States so I could stay in close contact with my family. I'm looking for a college with a strong academic tradition, because in the end, that's what is most important to me. I have a passion to play football that I don't have for anything else, and I would love to be a part of a football team and help in anyway possible. I love challenges and would work hard to become a dominant force for your team. If given the chance, I'm sure I can prove to be a great addition and asset to the team.
