Personal Statement
For me, becoming a college athlete has been a dream since I was able to participate in sports. Over the last couple of years talking with coaches and other mentors I have realized the classroom is just as important as the field. I aspire to be the best athlete possible all while maintaining good grades and being a gentleman. I want people to view me as a respectful, hardworking, and determined young man because that's exactly what I am. I am a huge competitor and I don't like to lose. However, I understand how important it is and I try to learn from my mistakes. I want to be remembered not only as a superior athlete but a kind and humble man. I am big on the saying, "You get out of the world what you put into it". I like this because it explains how you receive what you are willing to work for. I am willing to work harder than the guy next to me to earn a spot on a collegiate roster. From the on-field work to the classroom to the weight room and in my community, I am always pushing myself to be not only the best athlete I can be but the best all-around person I can be.
