Hello, my name is Austin Miller. I am a sophomore at Grand Valley High School in Orwell, Ohio and will be graduating with the class of 2026. I am also currently attending A-tech Technical and Career School participating in their Sophomore Career Technical Exploration Program. I am a very active athlete all year round. I participate in three sports during the school year: football (right tackle and defensive tackle), indoor track (thrower) and outdoor track (thrower). During the football off season, I focus on improving conditioning, strength, speed, and agility. During the school year I am dedicated to my sports as well as my schoolwork. I maintain a 3.38 GPA throughout the school year.
I have been playing football since I was in elementary school. I developed a passion for this sport at a young age. As a freshman I earned a starter spot on our Varsity offensive line as a left tackle. My sophomore year, I was elected to be a Team Captain for our Varsity team and earned First Team All-Ashtabula County, Second Team All-CVC and Honorable Mention NE Lakes All-District Team. During my sophomore season, I played right tackle and defensive tackle.
I continue to participate in training camps so I can learn new techniques, improve on my current techniques, and build my foundation to become a better overall athlete. During football season, I also helped coach our elementary school students, teaching them the basics of football.
I believe with my hard work, dedication, passion for this sport, leadership skills, and being a positive role model; I have been able to learn the values on how to be an excellent team player and leader for the future. My goal is to further pursue playing football at an upper level once I graduate. At this time, I am not sure what I would like to major in.
