James Herring '23 Recruiting Profile

Hey coaches, my name is James Gage Herring. I was born in North Carolina and raised in Ohio, I have played football since I was 7 or 8 starting with one year of flag and the rest full contact. My competitive drive started at a young age and I began to excel skillfully and mentally with every sport I was participating in. Once I got into middle school I began taking football to a new level, I started to lift most days of the week and get stronger, faster, and smarter. After my 8th grade season, I was invited to an ALL AMERICAN bowl game for (Offense-Defense Football) which we played in Miami Dolphin stadium. My main two positions on the field are Middle linebacker and Defensive end I am 6'0 and 210 pounds as a sophomore, during my sophomore season I had 60 tackles and around 20 tackles for loss in our small five-game season due to COVID. I consider myself a hard worker, a focused athlete, very coachable, an athlete who pushed and challenges themself. My goal is to go D-1 and win.. I want to win out my position and just prove anyone who has ever doubted me wrong, I want to go somewhere with football and play next level. Thank you
