In my family, football and academics go hand-in-hand. I can’t remember a time when the goal of attending college did not include playing football. As a student athlete, I’m coachable behind the desk and on the line of scrimmage, a leader within the student body and on the field, and a commitment to improve through hard work as a student, player, and teammate every day.
I maintain a 4.0 GPA, while taking honors and AP classes, a member of the National Honor Society, and an elected representative in student government. I was awarded Offensive MVP and 2nd Team All Conference for the 2018 Varsity season based on leadership, work ethic, football IQ, execution, and sportsmanship. My studying is balanced with a morning workout at school, afternoon training with a football strength coach 4 times per week, and attending a lineman clinic on Saturdays. I like to help out at community service events as much as possible. One of my personal favorites is the Night to Shine Prom sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
Football has taught me what it means to play with heart on and off the field. I’ve also learned playing football is not only a choice, but a privilege. I look forward to attending a college that will give me the opportunity to grow as a student and athlete, while giving back to the program and community.
