I am a senior student-athlete, playing football and baseball for Bishop Guilfoyle High School in Altoona, PA. I am also a short distance runner on the track team.
I have had a competitive passion for sports since I could walk. My father was a professional tennis player and now is the Associate Head coach at Penn State. My aunt played four sports at Mercer. I learned from them at an early age that discipline and attitude are as important as ability. I keep this in mind on and off the field, and consider myself a positive leader and role model.
During my high school tenure, our football team won three district championships and one state championship (2021). This past year, I earned four Special Teams Player of the Week awards, with five blocked punts/FG's (one returned as a touchdown).
In addition, I received the Academic Improvement award my junior year. This came after struggling my sophomore year, due to personal issues at home (my parents were going through a divorce). I decided from this point on to be self-motivated, spiritually stronger and adaptable to life's unexpected turns.
I am extremely thankful for the talents I have been blessed with and the excellent coaching I have received. I believe the skills I have aquired, as well as my willingness to learn, could greatly compliment and contribute to any program. I am a versatile athlete and would be happy to contribute in any role needed.
