Football has always been a part of my life- from holding a ball as a baby, starting youth football at age 5 to playing the game I love for my Notre Dame High School football team. My fondest memories involve football- the camaraderie of my teammates, the excitement of Friday night lights and the hot summer practices that build character. I am a multi-dimensional athlete who believes in a holistic approach to training. My training modalities involve yoga, power-lifting, meridian stretching and boxing. Nutrition is important to me and I often entertain my friends at school with the lunches that I bring. I am an avid chess player and I enjoy reading motivational books about overcoming adversity(ex. David Goggins).
I would be a good candidate for your team because I have a solid work ethic and I am coachable; I am disciplined during the season and off-season. I care about my teammates both on/off the field and I value the team's best interests over my own personal accolades. I embrace failure as an opportunity to expose my weakness and to develop new skills to grow. Our 2022 high school football team lost by 1 point in the district semi-final in the last 30 seconds of the game. This adversity has pushed me to train harder each day and to be mentally stronger.
Overall, my academic goals are to attend a well-revered, 4 yr university while competing as a student athlete. I want to engage in class and to develop myself academically, athletically and spiritually.
