Personal Statement

My dream is to play D1 football at a college that has a strong football tradition, and has an excellent academic reputation and alumni connections. I also would prefer to go to a college that utilizes their Tight Ends often.

My primary goal in high school is to help my team win a conference title, and advance far in the district playoffs and state playoffs.  By my senior year, we feel that we can contend for a state title.

My older brother will be attending college on a full football scholarship next Fall.  He was our Captain this past season- in both football and basketball. It was a very cool experience to play on the same teams as my brother. My dad played college football. And my grandfather played college football.  I have learned a lot from them, and from my high school coaches about leadership, teamwork, and hard work- on the field and off the field. I also enjoy learning from other players and coaches around the country (at camps and combines). I will continue to work very hard to get stronger, faster, and better at everything I do.

I am an honor roll student, and I enjoy working with young kids-  at camps and youth sports activities. I look forward to 2 more great years of high school, and then go on to help some college team win lots of games in the next 4-5 years.

  • -The receiver group was also fun. Others that deserve mention include D.J. Moore from Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep, who also had a quick release and good speed and Paramus (N.J.) Catholic’s Najee Clayton, who knows how to set receivers up and is real smooth. -In the tight end group, Millburn (N.J.) High’s Jake Pickard played offensive line all fall but looked good running routes with 20 more pounds backed on his frame. Boston College, Virginia, Purdue and Nebraska are the top four for the 6-foot-5, 227-pound Pickard. Exton (Pa.) Downington East Top247 2016 tight end Cary Angeline looked outstanding at 6-foot-6, 215-pounds and displayed skills that will make him a national recruit. Visits to Miami and Penn State have been his favorite thus far.
