Personal Statement
I am a good academic student. I currently have a 91.08 (B+) average in college bound curriculum.
I have been playing football ever since I was six years old. For the last two years, I have played varsity football, and threw the shot-put and discus on the varsity track team. I weight train year round with the team in the weight room or with my personal trainer. I have a passion and love for football and today, I am 100% committed to playing football at the collegiate level and obtaining a degree in business.
I grew up in a military family, with both my mom and dad retiring from the US Army; from them I have learned values, morals, discipline, and love for my country.
As a member of the Boy Scouts of America, I am involved with activities in the community which include:
- volunteering at the local State Veteran Home
- placing flags on the Veterans graves and color guard for local parades
- participating in food drives
- attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Project was a Veterans Memorial at American Legion Park, Hollidaysburg, Pa.
I am also involved in the Duncanville Lutheran Church; and Evangelical Lutheran Church of America
- Served as an acolyte; and assistant to the pastor; volunteer my time to work the sound booth during services
- Awarded Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries Youth of the Year award in 2015
- Attended ELCA Youth Gathering in Detroit, MI 2015 and completed service project
- Served as Page for Allegheny Synod Assembly for four years; and crucifier for processionals for Services and Bishop Installation
I believe my background has prepared me to be successful at the collegiate level in both academics and on the playing field.
