Hello Coach,
I'm George Shimko and I'm the youngest of four children. Having two older brothers who played football, an older sister that was a cheerleader, and a dad that coached peewee football, I'd say I learned to become part of a team pretty fast. From the time I was five months old, I spent my evenings at a football field and that continued every August through November until present time. I've been playing tackle football since I've been 5 y/o and during the time that I played Mini and Pee-wee football, my team made it to Play-offs every year and we had three Tri-County Champhionships. My brothers and I dreamed of playing Division 1 football and going to the NFL someday and all decided to work hard, my brothers fell a little short of that goal, both being recruited and signing with Division 3 schools. I am determined to work as hard as it takes to achieve my goals. I feel If my brothers could make it as far as they did, I can use the knowledge they have gained plus gain more knowlegde to better meet my goals for college and pay Division 1 football with a scohlarship. I want to be a leader on and off the field, and I want to help others overcome any challenge that is thrown at them. I look out for the underdog and I encourage teamwork and cooperation. I also know that education is forever and without education, a person does not grow. I want to be a sucessful man, I am a very competitive, and determined to maintain a high GPA, work hard, practice every day, work out, lift, run, train, and study plays and be a good role model through my christian faith.
