My aspiration in college is to earn a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and be a successful athlete in any position that my team needs me to play. With my leadership skills, agility, and athletic competitiveness, I can add value to any team. As a responsible student athlete, I have demonstrated the ability to adapt to change easily. For example, from kindergarten to 11th grade, I played offense on the football team. With 3 games left in my 11th grade season, my coach switched me to defense. I could have complained about being out of my comfort zone. Instead, I went home and watched some of the best defensive players in football. I studied my position and worked hard that summer and I can proudly say I then had my BEST year of football. My coach was impressed with my teachability and commitment to the needs of the team. Although we did not have a winning season, you can see from my highlights I still worked hard for my team earning defensive player recognition over three games. I covered the ball, used my strength and speed to keep the ball from getting outside the tackle box, stopped runs and rushed the quarterback. I believe the hard work and adaptability that I demonstrated will help me develop into a successful student athlete at your university.
