I have been playing football since I was 6 years old. My Mom tells me that I took my time learning to walk because I moved faster by crawling. The night before my first birthday, I just got off the floor and started walking. And my parents tell me that the first thing my Dad taught me was "down, set, hut" and on hut I'd tackle whoever or whatever was in front of me. From my first moments touching a football it felt like what I'm supposed to be doing. I like the challenge and physical side of football, but also like that it's a team sport and that I'm one man giving my all along with my teammates to accomplish the same goal. I'm a good, solid student. I'm respectful to my elders. I'm teachable and coachable and I stay hungry. I love football but I also know that academics are just as important. I'm thankful for my parents and older sister who help me keep that balance.
