Justin Pope '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Justin Pope.   I am a Tight End, who earned my BS in Environmental Sciences, with a remaining year of NCAA Eligibility.  I am a player who is as tenacious and driven on the field as he is in the film room.  For much of my Senior Year, I led the CCIW Tight Ends in Yards After Catch (YAC), as a game stretching Tight End, who also thrived in the team game playing H-Back, Possession Receiver, and Slot, delivering critical in-formation, open field, and Goal Line blocks to free our Conference-leading Rusher.  In media of me, during my days with Augustana College, you’ll observe my grit, my determination, and the need for multiple defenders to bring me down, irrespective of the pass location, down and distance.  On Special Teams assignments, I was the last man protecting our punter, who remained untouched, and I was the Kickoff Return Blocker who keyed the direction of the return, as well as the blocking scheme.

As I continue to train and prepare for my next opportunity, I have maintained my amateur status, paying my own way to compete against elite talent.  I competed in the Spring Showcase in Las Vegas, NV and the Annual Summer Showcase in Glendale, Colorado that was limited to 85 players.  Breaking out, I scored the first TD for my squad in a showcase on a 65 yard Seem Route.  

I am ready to hit the ground running and bring all of my talent, enthusiasm, game IQ, and my team-first mentality to the right program.
