In my opinion, Freshman orientation has influenced my life the most so far. Now that I'm going into my senior year of high school and I realized I would not be where I am right now, both physically and mentally, if the strength and conditioning coach didn't approach me and tell me I had a good build for football. I have learned a lot about myself while playing football; I have been recognized as a leader on the team, I am self motivated, and I recognized that the connection between the work it takes to excel on the field will help me the real world. My goal going into my senior year is to graduate with at least 3.5 GPA and go to college for my MBA or earn a bachelor's degree in some type of engineering. To get where I am in my school's athletic program I had to be very persistent. Because I did not start playing until Freshman year and spent 2 years playing JV, I had to prove myself worthy of playing on the varsity team. The thing that set me apart from many other incoming Freshman is I excelled in the weight-room. I firmly believe that even though my stature isn't typical of my position, I make up for it in great strength and determination. It's a great feeling to know that I went from not playing football at all until my Freshman year to starting 2 games Sophomore year, winning the 2021 TSSAA 5A State Title, and then starting all 14 games during the 2022 season is a testament to the fact that hard work pays off!
Outside of football I love hanging out with family and friends, attending Youth Group, and going to Church Camp each Summer. Whether it's Bible Study, playing backyard games, video-games, or being outdoors with my people, I just love spending time with my circle. Along with hanging out with friends, I love to be able to workout with fellow teammates outside of football activities and workouts. Although trying to balance Church, school, and football is challenging, my ability to persevere and get the work done, with the help of my parents, coaches, teammates, and friends has helped shape me into the person I am now.
