I am currently attending Bacone College on a partial football scholarship, as a medical red shirt due to a finger injury and currently hold the position of Safety. I'm here to build my GPA and play football. But, I want to play football at a school that offers my field of study (Kinesiology).
I am a 6'0 Linebacker from Aubrey, TX. I started playing full contact football at 6 years old. As an 11th grader and only 16, I was the starting 1st string MLB and was looked upon as a team leader on and off the field by my head coach, GA Moore, and my team mates. As a senior, I was the Defensive Captain and I was also running the ball and blocking on offense.
I earned 1st Team All-District 9-3A (Region II) Linebacker with a unanamous vote by the district team coaches, and 2nd team All-Area (Denton County) Linebacker for 2 consecutive years. Through out my 11 year career in football, I have played many positions on both offense & defense. This has allowed me to be an asset to my team and to learn to be flexible, I welcome the opportunity to grow and be challanged. As defense captain during this past summer, I helped lead my 7on7 team to the Texas State 7 on 7 Championship where we made it to the Championship bracket -Semifinals.
In regards to my life in the classroom, I currently hold a B+ average, and am pushing myself constantly for improvement. I have completed my SAT's & ACT's. During the summers, I work as a Lifeguard (last year I saved 5 children and 1 adult from drowning), this past summer I was positioned as a Head Guard and Manager and have enjoyed more experience in another leadership position. I also have a strong family support system, to include my parents and 4 siblings.
I am looking for an institution in which I can perform in the absolute best of my ability in the classroom as well as on the field. I will be pursuing a degree in Physical Education and Coaching, so being around other like minded, sucessfull educators & coaches is very important to my future sucess as a coach. Texas is my home, but I'm willing to go out of state if the right opportunity presents itself. A school where ethics are held at a high standard is a must for me.
