Kyle Wurzel '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kyle Wurzel. I am a 6'4" 275lb versatile O/D lineman who also has multiple years of deep-snapping experience. As a three-year varsity starter at St. Michael's Catholic Academy in Austin, Texas, I have helped lead my team to an overall record of 29-6. Now, after an undefeated 10-0 2012 regular season, we begin our quest for a state title.

This past summer I was invited to the JuniorRank All-American Prodigy Camp in Naples, Florida, where I was honored as one of the camp's top O-linemen. Additionally, I was named to the 1st Team All-Prodigy Camp. In August, 2012, I was selected by the Austin American-Stateman for the Pre-season All-CenTex Team (the only private school player to receive this honor). Following the 2011/12 season, I was awarded 1st Team All-State and 1st Team All-District honors along with 1st Team All-CenTex (only private school player).  As a Sophomore, playing Varsity ball, I received an Honorable Mention, TAPPS All-District team.

I would love the opportunity to continue my football career in college. I do not have any particular preferences as to where I would like to play regionally, but I would love to play at a school that will give me a great opportunity to pursue a career in physical therapy or sports medicine. 

In terms of what I can offer a team, I have always been characterized as a very intelligent, strong, natural leader. I am a quick-learner who really hates to lose. I will always apply my hard work ethic, athletic talents and leadership qualities to help better my team and teammates.
