Riley Mathews '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Riley Mathews; I am currently a junior at Dilley High School in Texas. I am 6`4, 295 pounds, and very athletic for my size. My shuttle is a 4.90, I have a standing reach of 106`, and run a 5.4 in the 40 yard dash. This past season as a junior, I was starting left tackle for my varsity football and received 1st team all-district offensive line honors. Getting to this spot took lots of time, hard work, and extreme patience. I spent countless hours in the weight room as well on the track, working on my feet work, trying to improve. I was, and will always be trying to improve. And as my dad says, hard work always pays off in the long run. Growing up my parents really taught me how to show pride and leadership, to push my teammates when things are far from none, and help others when they are in need. My coaches have also taught me to be humble, to know when to keep my composure when things are going good or bad. To Respect All, and Fear None! These are just a few aspects that I inquire and can offer a college, as well as a football program. My dream and long-term goal is to start at a D1 school college as an OL. I plan on majoring in business or wildlife biology. I have no doubts that I can compete and dominate on a D1 athletic level. I plan to keep working every day to improve my football and educational abilities, and can't wait to see the result of my hard labor.
