My goal is to become a D1 Collegiate Player. Yes, it has taken me some time to grow into my own. I have struggled with all the set backs COVID placed upon me and my family. I wasn't sure if I would ever play sports again. But, getting through junior high and hitting my Freshman year has really made me understand my potential. Am I fully where I need to be? No, but at 14 I know where I am going and what I need to do to get there.
One of my strongest attributes is that I am coachable almost to a fault. I can be instructed once and I execute. I rely on my coaches and respect what they do for me. They are the voices that keep me pushing on the field and in the classroom. I've been labeled with "ADHD" and having "OD" which has made my journey challenging. But I choose to be more than that. I use the field and the court to let that energy out. It motivates me to do the things I am not good at even better.
I know I am young in this process, but I know what I want. I don't brag and I don't work on outward emotions. I just go get it done and that makes me happy. My mom is a teacher and she tells people "it takes a village, a community to raise my son." I guess this will hold true as I look to my future. I need this process and I need all of you to help my vision for the future to come true. I want to give back like my parents have to so many people.
