My name is Dallas Hobbs and I am a senior at Somerset High School. The most important goal for me is to break the generational barrier and become the first person to graduate in my family. I am interested in studying Health Science with the intention of enrolling in a Physical Therapy program after I receive my degree. During that process, I envision myself maintaining a 3.5 GPA or better, while participating in various clubs and organizations; in my opinion being versatile and well-rounded is important to developing as a young man.
I have been a multi-sport athlete for all four high school years; competing and contributing at a very high level in football and track. I pride myself on consistently demonstrating my commitment and abilities, all while being the best leader that I can be, by holding myself and teammates to a high standard of excellence and embracing adversity in all situations. Simply put, athletes are a dime a dozen, but leaders are the defining factors in successful programs. My entire life, I have embodied characteristics of a someone who will step up in the midst of adversity and rise above, and any school that is willing to offer me an opportunity to compete will gain a competitor in every sense of the word.
