I fell in love with sports the day I was born. At the age of 4, I played my first flag football game, and let's just say football became my passion. I was very blessed to have great pewee coaches that had a passion for teaching me the game. Coach Mike Stockton taught me how to play any position on the defensive side of the field, Coach Tim Holt and Coach Alvin Shafer taught me offense. I was also very blessed to have parents that fed my passion with lots of training, conditioning, support, and most importantly encouragement, guidance, and love. I also cannot leave out my trainers who also had a hand in molding me, Coach Kierrie Johnson, Coach Eddie Russ, and Coach Jarrett Bailey. I've always had a gift for tracking and catching the ball. Most players I compete against have-to-have gloves, but I've worked on not depending on them. I am honest, trustworthy, self-motivated, and reliable. I adapt well to different situations and enjoy a challenge. I always put my full effort into everything and complete tasks to the best of my ability and stay focused. I am humble, friendly, and cooperative both in and out of school. My dream is to play college football at the highest competitive level that I can. I desire a college that will not only challenge me athletically but intellectually as well. I believe in myself, and I have the dedication, perseverance, focus, and personable character to be part of a winning team. I understand achieving my goals requires faith in myself, vision, hard work, and determination to which I am fully committed. My name is Randall Russ II, I am a 6'2 185-pound Wide Receiver for Tomball Memorial High School in Tomball, Texas. Thank you for taking this time to read my personal statement.
