My name is Ryan Cox and I am a senior in high school, graduating in the spring of 2024. My story is unique to me, but perhaps not unique in the college coaching world. I am what some would call a "late bloomer." My height and weight, as well as my in-depth skill, didn't begin to develop until this past summer. I have loved the game of football since I was three years old, have played since I was six, and have never played quarterback position until this season. I have had detailed instinct and intuition of the game for as long as I can remember. Quarterbacking and leadership have become my passion. I had to sit out my junior season due to surgical repair of a torn labrum in my shoulder and worked extremely hard to come back to the game more improved. I am hungry to continue this game and not at all ready to put the ball down after this final high school season.
Off the field, Christ is at the center of my being and my family is next. I am the middle son to two parents who have instilled hard work, dedication, drive, and compassion in me my whole life. Being a three sport athlete (will be adding a fourth this school year), my dedication in the classroom is as equally important as my love for sports. I work incredibly hard in my studies to maintain good grades. I am the finance director for my school's student-led cattle company, have raised and shown livestock all over the state of Texas for several years, a member of a State champion golf team as second stick, and district champion, area runner-up, and regional qualifier in track. All of these accolades have just come into fruition the last two years and I would love an opportunity to attain the very best in playing football at the collegiate level.
