Brock Bastian '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brock Bastian.  I am a 6' 2" 200 lb TE and OLB. I was named All-State in both positions during my Junior year.  I am a very serious student with a 3.987 our of 4.0 GPA and am in the top 5% of my class.  I have taken every honors class available and many college classes as well.  While playing football I will study business and follow with an MBA. 
I am a three sport athlete in high school, but my love is football.  Playing football in college is a goal I will meet.  Both of my parents were college athletes and I look forward to carrying on the tradition.  My entire life I have watched football in amazement of both the physical and mental aspects of the game.  I love a challenge and contributing to a good football team at the next level is an area where I am willing to commit 100% of my mental and physical energy.  
My current goals  are to become more explosive off the line and in cuts and bring my 40 yard dash to a 4.7 by focusing on the first 10 yards.  Much of my training is specifically focused on achieving these goals.  
I am a very coachable player and am committed to give my best at whatever I do on and off the field.  I will consider every offer; however, a challenging academic environment is preferred.  As much as I love football, I am committed to improve in all areas of my life.
