Liam James '23 Recruiting Profile

Football, academic success, and family is my life. I am a firm believer that the game can take me where I want to go if I do my part. I have always been a big dreamer and an optimist. With the support of my family to include my football family, I have every intention of doing my part to achieve my dreams. I have the most experience playing tackle, being a 4th year starter at left tackle in my high school career. I am currently Team Captain and I have 22 starts, 7 of those are every game my junior year and first year playing Varsity at left guard. However, I am extremely comfortable playing any position on the offensive line. I have good eye for reading the opposing team, and am trusted by my coaches to call plays on the field. I am told I have the mind for offense, I have contributed to our playbook with plays brought to my coaches. 

When I am not practicing with my team, I attend all JV home games assisting the coaches. I also help coach my local rec ball team when I am not working either my paying job or volunteer work, helping to teach both the offensive and defensive lines. 

I believe that there is always room for improvement and growth as a person, and a student athlete. My improvement inside the classroom is highly important to me as well as on the field and I will continue to work to improve my own skills and help my teammates to be the best they can be also. I am a hard worker, passionate & determined. 

 My GPA as of 12/21 is a 3.8  I am 6'7" and have a 6'8" wingspan.
