Stephen Abernathy '19 Recruiting Profile

I am focused and committed to meet and exceed my own very high academic and athletic expectations for the remainder of high school and position myself to be successful in college and beyond. My goals are to play Division 1 football at a well respected university with a concentration in engineering or business that will prepare me not only to be successful over the next four years, but more importantly, the rest of my life.  I have a deep passion for the sport of football for a great number of reasons; team strategy, hitting, executing a block resulting in a key gain, but more so, for the bigger lessons it teaches and reinforces - hard work, teamwork, respect and working as one team unit, along with team camaraderie. I know that competition on the field will also help teach me to be competitive off the field as well. And I believe that my love to compete along with a passion to win will help me further develop traits that will led to success later in life. I am a dedicated, hard worker, coachable and always hungry to learn and ready to contribute and succeed at the next level - on and off the field.
