Personal Statement
I am Anthony Artis and I have a great passion to play football. My high school career started in Italy, where we lived due to my father being in the military. I started as a Freshman on the high school football team at offensive tackle and defensive end. We won the Division 2 European Championship and I was named Rookie Of The Year and All Europe 2nd Team Defensive End. The fall season was cancelled due to COVID, but my father got an assignment and we moved to Virginia, one of the states that move their fall football season to the spring. I played my sophomore season at York High School and started at LB and played some at RB.
Some of my attributes are I am a very hard worker, extremely determined, and I am laser focused on becoming a top-notch athlete and dependable teammate. The game of football has brought this shy kid out of his shell and made a very vocal leader who wants to help the team become the best. If given the opportunity to play at the next level, a team and coach will be getting a dedicated person that will work hard to make the program the best it can be.
