D.J. Carozza '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is DJ Carozza. I have dreamed of playing college football for as long as I can remember. I currently play for Parkersburg High School located in Parkersburg, WV. I have played varsity since my Sophomore season and I started all 11 games as a Junior. My primary position is right tackle on the offensive line but I am also the backup center and can also play guard. On defense I play defensive tackle. I am willing to play wherever I can best help my team succeed. I feel like I can bring good character, honesty, and leadership to a team. I try to always take adavantage of every opportunity given to me and make the most of it. If given the chance to play college football I will give 110% in the classroom, in the weightroom, and on the field. I am now preparing for my senior season and I feel better than ever phisically and mentally. I was recently chosen to be a Team Captain for the fall season. My number one goal for this season is to do whatever I can to help my team win a state championship. Another goal of mine is to be All-State and All-Conference. I would like to stay somewhat close to home but I will consider any school that is interested. 12/09/12 Update: I received honorable mention as a lineman for the Mountain State Athletic Conference (MSAC) for my senior year performance. In addition, I also received  our team award (the Buddy James Award) for Offensive Lineman of the Year. 
02/07/13 Commitment Update:  I have decided to accept a Preferred Walk On offer with the West Virginia University Mountaineers.Thank you to all the coaches and schools that were interested in me and those that offered scholarships. I wish all of you luck in your upcoming seasons! "Let's Go, Mountaineers!"
