Personal Statement
My collegiate goals include continuing my soccer career and competing at the college level while furthering my education. As a player, I am willing to fight for my team, my coach, and my college. I have a positive attitude on and off the field, and I am able to step into positions of leadership when needed. I started playing soccer when I was very young and as I got older, my love for the game has only grown. The speed, the competitiveness, the friendship you build with your team, and the overall feeling of being on the field is why I love it so much. I am not afraid of hard work, and I am willing to do what is necessary and whatever is asked of me to achieve success for myself and my team.
Currently, my time is spent playing with the Beadling 08 GA team out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My hometown is Charleston, West Virginia, so I am about three hours away from Beadling. I travel to Pittsburgh every chance I get for team training and then up for any games we have during the Girls Academy season. Whenever I am home, I spend my time doing private training and group practices with a local club. My constant training earned me the privilege of attending two USYNT ID Centers as well as the GA Regional Talent ID and a selection for the GA National Talent ID. The National ID, however, I was unable to attend due to my team making it to the national quarterfinals. Although at times the geographical distance can prove to be a challenge, I believe it shows my commitment to the sport I love, and my want to play at the highest level I can. In the fall, I play for my high school, Charleston Catholic. Currently, my team and I are working toward winning our 5th consecutive state championship. As a freshman last year, I was named 1st Team All-State, and I plan on continuing my training to work towards that again, and even bigger things.
