Domenick Murphy '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a student at Weir High School in Weirton, WV. One of my passions and interest is playing the game of football. Freshman year as a 1st year letterman our team went 3-7.  I played special teams and linebacker on our Cover 5 Defense.  This year as a sophomore I started linebacker, I also called the defense as well. I finished with 120 tackles my sophomore year.  Our team made it to the first round of the West Virginia State playoffs, but unfortunately we got knocked out by 6th team in the State of WV, we finished 8-3. My sophomore as a 2nd year letterman and 1st year starter I was awarded OVAC Honorable Mention and Defensive player of the week. 

I'm involved in a Youth Leadership Weirton Program and I'm also on the honor roll. I also played Basketball my freshman year and currently as a sophomore playing varsity as a power forward. Participating in a team-oriented environment taught me that I am a leader and value teamwork. I'm interested in a school both academically and athletically.
