Matthew Ruppel '17 Recruiting Profile

My goals are to attend a university with solid academics where I can pursue my dream of playing college football.  I pride myself for being a good teammate who always gives maximum effort, never gives up, and is willing to work hard to achieve our goals.  I believe in leadership by example, and as a sophomore I was a team leader in tackles and tackles for loss, always playing whistle to whistle, and never taking off plays.  As a junior, I started at linebacker and running back and led the North Shore Conference in tackles for loss, rushing yards, and touchdowns.  I was proud to receive All Conference honors on both sides of the ball, further gaining recognition being named to the Milwaukee Journal - Sentinel All Area Team and the WISSPORTS Class of 2017 Top Players to Watch in the state of Wisconsin.  Most importantly, I was voted by my teammates and my coaches as Team MVP.  Academically, I continue to be on the honor roll.

Over the next year I will continue to strive to achieve higher accomplishments academically and athletically, while supporting my fellow players and underclassmen to be better people, players, and teammates.
