Carl Johnson '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Carl Johnson and I attend Russell County High School in Seale, AL. My whole life I have been an athlete and have dreamed of playing basketball in the NBA. I was a starter on my freshman team and started on the junior varsity basketball team during my sophomore year.  I quickly won the attention of my coaches, earning significant playing time, and by my junior year I was a starter on the varsity team.

I am a senior, a captain and a leader on and off the court, and support the underclassman. We had a great season last year and are excited about the upcoming season. We made the playoffs for the past two years, but were eliminated in the Elite 8 Tournament this year.

It was a tough loss for us; but it has made me more determined to lead my team back there and beyond this year. With determination, hard work, practice and dedication we will be able to achieve our goal of winning the 5A Alabama State Championship.  These characteristics will carry me over into a successful college and NBA career.
