I started playing basketball at the age of four and became obsessed with the sport. I've played every year since then, constantly improving and making connections with friends and coaches. Living in Alaska has influenced me to push harder for my goals. I want to be the person that announcers mention is from Alaska. I want to put it on the map. Playing basketball has made me realize how competitive I am. For the majority of my life, I have played against more talented teams. I hate to lose. Over the past three years, I have been able to help my teams win due to a hard work ethic and scoring ability. My parents have blessed me with great athleticism, but it has been my coachability and willingness to learn that sets me apart from others. I hope basketball allows me to better my education and be successful in whatever life brings afterwards.
