Bowman Roach '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches and scouts.  I am Bowman Roach, a senior and a member of the graduation class of 2020.  I love the game of basketball and it has helped to make me a more well-rounded person on an off the court.  On the court, I am someone who does not care about how my stats look and will do the hard jobs that some people may shy away from. The goal is always team success.  Off the court, basketball has afforded me opportunities to assist others through coaching, and leadership opportunities in public forum.   

I started my journey with basketball by watching a NBA game that my dad flipped to on TV.  The game was just right for me: a faster pace than most sports, non-stop action, and I loved seeing the crowd get hyped by a good play. 

The next goal for me is to play basketball at a good school.  I hope to get an athletic or academic scholarship. For me as a player,  I fit into most team systems.  I think I make a positive impact in games because some of my coaches have put me in positions on defense where I had one job for the last 5 minutes in a close game:  to make sure the other team's star does not get the ball and make a play.  Offensively, I have proven that I can score and will take shots late in the games.  A few of the video clips on this site are highlights of me hitting shots that have put my team in the lead late in games.

I sometimes wonder what my life would be like without basketball but I like the choice I have made.  Thank you if you read this far, and my contact information is attached to this profile.
