Personal Statement
Freshman-level undergraduate student at Orange Coast College while enrolled at Fountain Valley High School, pursuing degrees in Business Economics & Accounting. I have several years of experience in capital markets, commercial banking, business development, and corporate finance. Next June, I will be joining Wells Fargo as a Municipal Finance Analyst in Los Angeles.
As an all-league varsity basketball player as a sophomore in high school while enrolling as a freshman in college, my ability to do well on and off the court have been displayed, in which I am working hard to make my accomplishments into a scholarship towards college basketball.
At sixteen years old, I started both my career and undergraduate education early. In my first year of college (which I will complete during my junior year of high school), I am working in Portfolio Management at AG Capital Group. During my 14 months at MB Financial Bank, I was promoted from an intern role to Territory Manager. In that role (within Commercial Banking), I was tasked with executing capital finance transactions with middle-market corporations and public entities. I originated many multimillion-dollar projects and was a top performer on the West Coast.
My career has given me in-depth knowledge of corporate finance, providing extensive experience with financial statement analysis and underwriting/credit management. In addition, I am skilled in the areas of corporate sales, debt capital markets, leasing, municipal bonds, project management, healthcare finance, and data analytics.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my brothers, playing golf, cycling, and following the news in Washington. Within the next two years, I plan on earning a CFA designation and completing a JD/MBA program.
As a first-generation Vietnamese-American, I'm proud of where I've accomplished with my education and career. I'm always open to new opportunities and meeting like-minded professionals!
