Samuel Gillaspy '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Samuel Gillaspy currently 16 years old and in my Junior year of Highschool. Graduating year 2025. I am currently looking for a college that I could be a great asset to on the court and also a college that will help me accomplish my academic goals. I have had a passion for basketball since I was 4 years old. I couldn't put the ball down once I picked it up. I was self taught for most of my younger years. I played CYO from 4 years old till middle school. I played middle school 6th grade through 7th grade then Covid hit. Found a AAU team to play on until my Freshman year. My Freshman year I made the JV team and had a great season, received Offensive MVP Award. I was invited with another team mate to play at NCS my freshman year. My Sophomore year I made the Varsity team and continued to work hard on and off the court. When I am not playing basketball I have volunteered my time to coach younger children in basketball in hopes to give knowledge and my love for the game. I am confident, hard working, coachable and challenge myself daily on the court and in the classroom.
