Being able to play basketball in college is a dream for me because although I got a late start playing in the sport, I have worked hard to catch up and better my skills. I have always been tall and people always assumed that I would play basketball, but due to several fracture injuries growing up, I didn't get a chance to play on a basketball team until I was in the 8th grade. By then, my confidence was not good, but my mother, who played basketball in high school has been a help and inspiration by supporting me by enrolling me in camps and finding me more opportunities to play.
My goal for college, is to be able to play basketball for a Div 3 or NAIA school while majoring in graphic arts and physical education, but I will keep my options open. I am a team player, I love competition and I'm always willing to learn and open to criticism and feedback from coaches. Academically, my grades are above average and I plan to work hard to keep them that way.
