Personal Statement
My love for basketball came about as soon as I was able to walk and pick up a ball! I've been around Basketball my whole life, my Dad and Uncle's used to always bring me to open gym runs to watch them play when I was younger and I would always beg to play and when I was around 12 years old I played for my first time and played good that's when I started to take my game to another level working out and doing things to evaluate my game. My 8th grade year I had a knee surgery that took me out until the end of AAU going into my Freshman year. I fought back through it working harder and started getting into weight lifting and getting my body stronger. Freshman year I played JV and got very few Varsity minuets due to grades and then going into summer I broke my other knee and sat out majority of my Sophomore year playing the last 5 games. After that surgery and coming back into things after the season I caught my first dunk and started gaining my confidence back and realizing I had a real shot to do something with basketball. I started getting better grades (not the best) but I grew and started doing better so I can have a chance to get into schools. My junior year is when I finally got the chance to show what I can do in a full season! I had a solid year as a student athlete but look to do 10x better senior year and get recruited as the player I believe I can be
