Derick Augustin '26 Recruiting Profile

     Hello, I am a 6'0 Gaurd/Small Forward/Power Forward. My name is Derick Augustin and I am a rising Freshman in the class of 2026. I currently attend Cornerstone Charter Academy in Orlando, Florida. I am a starter for the Junior Varsity Basketball team and am honored to be named team captain by the head coach, also I come off the bench for the Varsity Basketball team at my school and have ambitions to continue my career at a collegiate level. My goals for college are to attend a University with high academic standards and where I can play basketball at the highest level possible. I would highly consider playing at any division school such as DI, DII, DIII, JC, and NAIA. 

     My primary position on the court for my school basketball team is Small Forward, although I've played all positions this season. I love the game of basketball. I am a hard worker both in the classroom and on the court. I am a very coachable player and I strive to make the correct basketball play whenever I’m on the court. My heart, drive, and basketball intelligence are what separate me from the competition. I strive to be one of the hardest-working players for any team I am a part of. There isn't a day I go without practicing the game of basketball.

     Being a student-athlete, I take pride in having that title. I was taught that 'student' in student-athlete should always come first, so I continue to take my academics seriously by maintaining a high GPA. I am a person with undeniable determination and a drive to not be outworked. I will utilize all of my God-given talents to the best of my ability to get the task at hand done. No matter if it is on or off the court. I work hard at everything I do and seem to excel in it as well. No matter what I put my mind to, I know I can accomplish it.

    The type of program I am looking for is one that knows how to win and knows what is necessary to be successful both on and off the court, I am looking for a program that will help me become the caliber of player I know i can become. Ultimately, I am looking for the type of program that will aid me in becoming the man I want to be.
