Anthony Rodriguez '24 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate aspiration is to be the best student athlete and go play basketball at any college that will give me a chance to  show my abilities and obtain a college degree. I started playing basketball when I was 7 years old at the local city league and feel in love with the game. Before I played basketball,  I played organized football at age 5 .I started playing basketball to stay in shape in the offseason and since then I couldn't put the basketball down .In college I want to focus on my academics and get my Bachelor's Degree and  pursue a Doctrine in sports medicine. I've been captain or co-captain 5 years running on my travel basketball team and have been named captain 4 years on 4 different teams on the football field as well. I learned that you need to gain the respect of your teammates and they need to like you to follow you. With your teammates you can achieve anything. I will always maintain my grades because in my family academics is first, then basketball. Everyday I try to acquire more knowledge about the game of basketball.
