Personal Statement
My primary goal is to use my talents as a basketball player to help pay for my college education. Basketball has been my passion since I was 7 years old. Because of my love for the game, many would consider me a gym rat. I believe that my work ethic has not only allowed me to become a successful basketball player, but also given me a lot of academic success. I believe I would be a good candidate for any team because I am willing to work and listen, I have very good basketball IQ and I am very humble and that allows me to relate well to teammates and coaches alike. My best skill in basketball is my shooting ability, but, more importantly, it is my quick release with accuracy that makes a difference. This is a skill I had to learn early in my career when I was typically the smallest player on the court. From an academic standpoint, I am an honor roll student and have a lot of different interests for the future. I am a good student in all of my classes and I believe that my teachers would tell you that I am always willing to help others who may be struggling. This comes from my background of being raised in a Christian home and being taught these values all of my life. I also think this is what helps me be a better teammate on the court. I cannot think of anything that would be better than being able to get my education while continuing to play the game that I love so much. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
