Max Myers '23 Recruiting Profile

Like my peers on NCSA, basketball is an important part of my life. I would best describe my game as fundamentals over flash, as I like to get the job done and not risk losing trying to be fancy.  While basketball takes up most of my time, when I’m off the court I spend much of my time enjoying nature and doing many different outdoor activities like camping & hiking.  I am currently teaching myself how to play an acoustic guitar.  I participate in 4H, Sources of Strength, and National Honors Society.  Like basketball, these groups have taught me valuable life lessons like perseverance, patience, and the importance of commitment.  Unexpectedly, these activities have also shown me the fulfillment of giving back.

My goals for my high school career are to achieve academic success, graduate as a student athlete with academic honors, and earn my associates degree. On the court, I would like to make All-Conference First Team and be recognized on the All-Conference Academic Team my junior & senior year. In college, I would like to major in Biology or Finance. Right now, I'm interested in pursuing Dermatology or Oral Surgery.  I'm also considering becoming a Financial Advisor like my father. I would like to play basketball for a college that I would be able to make a meaningful contribution to.
