Having a father who had to work his way up from nothing has taught me the importance of hard work and where that hard work can take me. After a season ending injury, I learned that the privilege to play can be taken away at any moment. This is why I take full advantage of my time when I step on a court, knowing that my ability to play the game should never be taken for granted. The game has gifted me the opportunity to work and learn from many coaches and trainers who have a greater knowledge of basketball than me, which is why I am extremely humble and always willing to listen and learn. I am different than others because of my perspective on basketball and life. I know that even if I may not be the most talented I will always give the most hustle, play with the most passion, and do anything I need to in order to get myself and others around me better every time I step on a court. I do not think there is a reason why I should let anyone work more than me.
My work ethic relates to my school life which is why I continue to maintain honor roll while taking the highest level accelerated and AP classes for my grade. I want to continue to grow as a student athlete in a college where I can challenge myself everyday and aspire to become a better human overall in order to make my family proud. I am open to any college situation and am extremely grateful for your consideration.
