I am very hard working. I take a great amount of pride when my coaches say that I am hardworking. I love the game of basketball, and everything I do in my life revolves around basketball. Iam a very big competitor, and winning means very much to me. I have spent continuous hours studying the game, so my basketball IQ is very high. 6 foot 150 pounds. I play the 3, but I can guard on the four. Over the span of my sophmore season, I averaged a little over 10 points per game. My team had a losing record, but we competed very closely in almost every game. We had some big wins like beating Washington 43-42, and beating Dunlap twice. As a team we played very well, and faced very good competition. Over the span of the season, I took a total of 37 charges. I averaged over a charge a game. I also work very hard on the defensive end, bringing in a lot of rebounds. As a player, I play with a lot of passion, and try to be a team leader. I try to bring the best out in my teammates, and encourage them even when they make a mistake. What makes me truly different from recruits is my work ethic. I am constantly either with my teammates trying to improve myself. When I am not practicing with my teammates, I am in the gym working on my dribbling and my jump shot. I am also going to play AAU this summer to try and improve my game, while also playing with my actual school team. Academics is also a big part of being a student athlete to me. I am in honors math and honors english. I take it very seriously because grades mean a lot to me. I try to always get my work done. My character is different from other recruits because I am always trying to be happy no matter what. As a teammate, I always try to be nice to everyone and bring everyone close together. Although I like to have fun during basketball, I know when it is time to work, and my ultimate goal every practice is to work as hard as possible and get better. I do what it takes to win, and leave everything on the court. I play as hard as possible, and play every posession like it is the game winning posession.
