Ryland Holt '19 Recruiting Profile

    I have been playing basketball since the third grade. I began to really think about college basketball at the end of my eighth-grade year. That season I was the eighth man. At the end of that season, I decided I was done watching my teammates play without any contribution on my part. I practiced every day that summer and worked my way up. My freshman year, I started on the junior varsity team. I learned so much over that time period. I learned how to push myself while nobody is looking. I became confident in myself to have the ball in my hands in tight situations. Most of all, I learned what can come from working hard for just one summer. Now, I'm striving to add on to that every day and become the best player I can be.

    I am a 6'3 Junior forward for GCMS High School. I work out three to four days a week and train specifically for basketball around three times a week with my coaches. I am working hard to put myself in the best position for next basketball season. My family and I are fully committed to doing what it takes to get myself on a college roster in three years.
